Oregon Intergroup (OIG) serves as a dedicated service body that coordinates resources, organizes events, and maintains essential communication channels between local meetings, Region 1, and OA World Service.OREGON INTERGROUP (OIG) is an OA service body, serving OA groups from Longview to Salem and from the Coast to Mt. Hood. Providing liability insurance across our body, OIG also maintains meeting directories, has newcomer and speaker meetings, hosts special events, maintains a phone line, website, Google mail group, sells literature, and has a CD library, .
We meet the second Wednesday of each month from 6:45 pm – 8:30 pm, on Zoom. Click Find a Meeting for additional details.
Each OA meeting may send two elected representatives who may vote; and all OA members are welcome and encouraged to take part.

OIG holds elections for board positions every year in July; half the board is elected in even years and half in odd years, and terms are two (2) years in length. In 2025, we will elect the co-chair, secretary, member-at-large and events coordinator. Oregon Intergroup brings together representatives from local meetings to share ideas, address challenges, and utilize our collective ability to carry the message of recovery, by
- organizing transformative workshops and retreats
- maintaining current meeting lists and a comprehensive events calendar
- providing essential resources that help meetings thrive
- supporting both newcomers beginning their recovery journey and longtime members
- coordinating speaker meetings
- serving as a central point of contact to help individuals connect with local meetings, find sponsors, access the tools of recovery
Through dedication, we strengthen the recovery community through service and connection. Our intergroup welcomes everyone seeking relief from compulsive eating, ensuring that the hand of OA remains readily available throughout our region.
